Boulder Dash

Post by peter »

Hi there,

here is a little boulder Dash.
In the BoulderHelp.txt you will find more information.

Edit:
I found a bug in CoolBoulder.
I forgot an image for the player input.
Two maps became changed of me.

Map14, Map26.
Excuse for the mistake.

Hallo,

Nice game there (couldn't even beat the first level :( ). I think you should come to #coolbasic in irc.ircnet.com to chat with us :P

That's very good! It's wonderful that we have an active(?) member non-finnish. This is clearly higher level than many else games I've seen here! (--> I go and test other your games) :D

Oo, this brings back memories. I've never frequented the english-side of the forums, and this one had totally slipped by me... I know this is an old topic, but just thought I'd put my 2 cents in.

I used to play lots of Boulder Dash on C64 almost 20 years back, and this remake is excellent (although I seem to recall that there were scrolling maps in the originals too?). Even without the added nostalgy-bonus, this project is well polished and finished (unlike all my own projects ). The player character could move a bit faster, but that would probably make it too easy. I'll see if I can make the time to try out your other games too.

Hi ezbe,

The idea, to play all games is very good !
I am just writing an old boulder game. That gives you again stone age feeling. But is without scrolling again!
Later I will write a big Emerald Mine game if the new Classic comes out.

best wishes.
