Hi,

I don't know, but here in Germany is Christmas over.
What about Finland, is there still Christmas?
And is there snow and ice ? Or have you already summer ?

I don't know if it's Christmas, but it's snowy at least 'till march. And last bits of snow melt in April (the further north you go, the longer the snow lasts, ofcourse ;) )

I believe that in Finland, Christmas officially ends with Loppiainen, which is 6th January. At least most people get rid of all the Christmas decorations then, though in my family it's not unusual that nobody remembers to remove them (except for the Christmas tree) before it's Christmas again :D

In Finland, June (which is also named "kesäkuu", summer month in English) is usually the first really warm month; it's not unusual that there are some warm days in the end of May, but again it's not unusual that there still is snow in the beginning of May where I live, and it's in the south-eastern part of the central Finland. Then in September the temperature starts dropping again, and the first snow usually rains in October or the beginning of November, though it will probably melt before the final snow rains in the end of November or the beginning of December.

cool !
I have learned something about Finland and his tradition.
I think there are many nice people in this land.

Thank you for the explanation about snow and ice and Christmas in Finland.
