Wasn't it summer '06? Or '07? Correct me if im wrong.

Zero doesn't seem to be working on CB anymore, so there will be no new compiler. Of course there is the chance of Zero coming back filled with motivation, but I doubt it.

Yes, it seems that he is not very active in here forums, but I have had recently a little discussion with him and he says that he is still working on CoolBasic. Though no one knows when the new compiler is coming out. I'm currently writing a little article about CoolBasic's future plans to the next issue of PCopy. The article's intention is to make CoolBasic's future plans clear for foreign people who doesn't speak Finnish.

Let's make it official in english, too:

CoolBasic v3 is in development. It features brand new compiler, game engine, and OOP-syntax.
